You can choose which town
and its surroundings you visit first.
On the confluence of the rivers Elbe and Ohře, in a picturesque area,
there is one of the oldest and most charming Czech towns, the royal
town of Litoměřice. It is full of other interesting sights.
The Czech Middle Mountain, in this area, is divided
by an outbreak of the river Elbe, that created marvellous
valley called “Porta Bohemica” (a Gate to Czechia).
Going down the river Elbe we can visit a regional capital of Ústí
nad Labem, which is guarded by a castle of Střekov. Its dominating
feature is a restaurant called Větruše with an observation point on
the entire Elbe's lowland. Both towns are 25 km away from our cottage.
The other places of interest are a town of Děčín and a near-by town
of Hřensko on The Czech – German border. In Hřensko there are
two glens (Quiet and Wild Glen) upon the Kamenice river
where you can go boating.
Very close to Hřensko there is the biggest sandstone bridge in Europe
called Pravčická Brána that is a part of the National Park Czech Switzerland.
Worthy of visiting is the National Natural Monument of Peklo (Hell)
as well as Macha's lake located in Macha's country,
nearby a town of Česká Lípa.
Many other tourist destinations are hidden in the area of the Czech Middle Mountains
and Macha's country. So we heartily invite you to the educational and, in many times, fairy-tale-ish romantic trips through this landscape with an option of accommodation in our cottage 'Penzion Pod vyhlídkou'.
